Working with a French voice actor: your vision, my performance, our session
You bring your script, your audience and your deadline. I bring the performance, the studio and a clear agreement set out in the quote. Four stages take us from your brief to your files.

What you bring, what I take care of
you set the direction, I find the tone
Four things to get us started. Then I begin with what you want your audience to understand or feel.
You bring
Your script
The approved script, or a word count for an initial estimate.
Your audience
Your teams, your customers or the general public: I shape the performance around who is listening.
Where it will be used
TV, online, internal communications or e-learning: usage rights reflect the intended use.
Your deadline
The date you need to meet. We fit the recording around your schedule.
Your visuals, pacing and the demos you like help us refine the performance. I suggest; you choose.
I take care of
Your vision, my interpretation
When your direction is clear, I follow it. When you’re still finding the tone, I’ll let you hear a few approaches: warmer, livelier or more measured. Together, we choose what serves your message.
A clear quote before we record
We set out the work, usage rights and schedule in a quote. Once you’ve approved it, we arrange the recording.
Voice over, studio and usage rights included
Ready when you are
A quick response, then a recording that fits your schedule, even when it’s urgent.
A free audition on a short extract
Depending on your project, a free audition using a short extract from your script can help you decide.
“Working with Estelle means bringing pleasure and talent together. Attentive, punctual and professional, you recorded our message beyond our expectations while adapting to the constraints. Fast delivery.”
Your place in the recording session
the joy of performing, live or from your brief
Leave the recording to me or direct it live, depending on your project. Before we record, we discuss your script, the intended performance and the project requirements. We agree on the schedule and the files you need.
Leave the recording to me
Send me the script and brief. I’ll record following the direction we’ve agreed. If you haven’t settled on a direction, I’ll draw on over 20 years of experience to suggest approaches. You then receive the takes for review.
For e-learning, I record independently from your brief.
Direct the session
Join the recording remotely. Together, we adjust the pace, nuances and performance, take by take.
Seeing each other on camera helps us move quickly and build a rapport.
I can work with your preferred remote connection.

And when the project calls for it, we can record in your studio.
“Despite our different languages, countries and time zones, she was incredibly easy to work with. …”
Files you can use
raw for postproduction or ready to air
Split and named to your specifications, in the format agreed before recording.
For your postproduction team
Raw takes for your sound engineer.
Ready to air
Cleaned and split files for your edit.
- Formats
- WAV or MP3
- Telephony
- µ-law or A-law at 8 kHz
Timing to picture and delivery in batches are agreed in the quote.
“One of the best-timed French female voice recordings I’ve had the pleasure of receiving. I really had very little to cut or move around. Timecode respected, an excellent casting choice.”
Retakes and follow-up
a voice that stays with your projects
You receive the takes for review and send me your feedback.
“It’s wonderful, Estelle. The quality and professionalism of what you’ve delivered to me for over 15 years just keep improving. A real pleasure!”
5 out of 5 from over 265 client reviews, published on Google and voice over platforms.
Retakes until you’re completely happy
I refine the performance on the agreed script until it’s what you’re looking for. If the script changes substantially, I’ll quote for the new version.
Here before, during and after the session
A question about the script, feedback from your team or a detail to clarify after delivery: I’m here to keep your project moving.
The same voice, project after project
The same voice for your updates, two years from now as well as today.
Prepare your brief
Two tools to gather everything before you write to me. Nothing is sent without you.

Corporate film, motion design or documentary
The express brief helps you set out your film, audience, tone and timing. Send it to me as it is, or keep it as a PDF.
Commercials, e-learning, telephony and all your other projects
The brief builder counts your words, estimates the voice over duration and prepares your quote request.
Your script
Paste your script or an extract. It stays on your device.
Estimated at 150 words per minute, a natural pace that is pleasant to listen to.
Your project
Can’t see your project in the list? Choose “Other” and tell me about it in your brief.
Where your recording will be used
Usage rights reflect how you will use the recording. I’ll set them out in the quote.
The tone
Choose up to three tones. Not sure? Select “Let’s decide together” and I’ll suggest a few approaches.
Your place in the session
First we agree on the quote, then arrange the session around your schedule.
For e-learning, I record independently from your brief.

Questions about working together
How do I get a quote?
Send me your script or word count, where it will be used (TV, online, internal communications or e-learning) and your deadline. I’ll reply personally with a clear quote. For an initial guide, see my voice over rates.
How many words fit into one minute of voice over?
No more than 150 words per minute for a natural pace that is pleasant to listen to. For e-learning, I work on 140 words per minute.
Are usage rights included?
Yes. The voice over, recording studio and usage rights agreed for your project are all covered in one quote. The rights reflect where and how you will use the recording: media, duration and territory.
Can I request an audition on my script?
Yes, free of charge, using a short extract from your script and some context about the project. We work out the intended performance together. I’m available throughout the year and respond quickly.
