My commitments
Every performance starts with listening
Motion designers, animation studios and communication agencies: let’s talk about your animatic, your audience and the pace of your film.
A voice actress for over 20 years
Your vision, my interpretation
Your film needs to explain, persuade or surprise. I start with that intention and your animatic in view. Emphasis lands on the idea your image reveals, pauses give your audience time to understand, and the tone fits your style: lively, conversational or measured.
Here before, during and after the session
If the script is too dense for its running time, I flag it before recording. It’s better to shorten a sentence than rush the voice. If the timing changes in the final render, or your client has feedback, I’m here through to the final version of your film.
The same voice, project after project
From one video to the next, you work with a voice that already knows your visual world. Your films are recognisable from the opening words, while the performance develops with each new subject.

My voice over services
A great session,
wherever you are
Before the session
Send me your script and brief, with the timing or animatic if you have it. We set out the work, usage rights and schedule in a quote. Once you’ve approved it, we arrange the recording. Your project brief
During the session
In an animated explainer, the voice guides the eye: it introduces, punctuates and gives the animation room to breathe.
Leave the recording to me
I record following the direction we’ve agreed. You receive the takes to listen to and send me your feedback.
Direct the session
Join the recording remotely. Together, we adjust the pace, nuances and performance, take by take.
For audio: Source-Connect, SessionLink Pro or Cleanfeed. For conversation: Google Meet, Zoom or Teams.
Throughout your project
Either way
All the way to release
Timed to your animation
Your timing or animatic gives me the length of each sequence. I match the pace and pauses to the picture, using timecode.
Your terminology, pronounced correctly
Names, acronyms and technical terms: we agree on pronunciations with the script, before switching on the mic.
Your versions
An added sequence, a changed line or another version of your film: I match the tone and pace of the first recording. Versions and their use are specified in the quote.
Ready when you are
A quick response, then a recording that fits your schedule, even when it’s urgent.

Motion design voice over FAQ
Before you launch your animation
How does voice over for an explainer video work?
Send me your script and brief. You can start by requesting a free audition on an extract. Depending on your project, I time my voice to your edited animation so each sentence lands on the right image, or I record first and the animation follows my voice. You can direct remotely with your camera on, or leave me to record to your brief. You receive raw files for postproduction or files ready to use. For an example, listen to the Molutrex medical animation.
How much does voice over for an animated explainer cost?
The rate follows the length of recorded voice and its use: internal, or online without paid advertising. Studio recording and timing to timecode are included. Additional usage fees may apply depending on the advertiser and use. Send me your script and usage details, and I’ll reply personally with a clear quote.
Can you time the voice over to my animation?
Yes, to timecode, and it’s included. Your timing or animatic gives me the length of each sequence. I match the pace and pauses to the picture.
How many words fit into one minute of voice over?
No more than 150 words per minute, for a natural pace that’s easy to listen to.
What files will I receive?
Depending on your needs, you’ll receive raw takes for postproduction or cleaned, split and named files as specified in the quote. Files are supplied in WAV or AIFF, at the format and level agreed for your production. An MP3 version can also be provided.
