Corporate voice over: the express brief
As a director, graphic designer or motion designer, you know what you want to show. Let us clarify what the voice needs to convey.

Your brief
From your idea to the microphone
There can be a world between what your client asks for, what you imagine and what the voice conveys. Choose your film, then work through the settings. Your session sheet takes shape as you make your choices.
Your answers stay on this page until you open the request form. Download the PDF to keep them.
Tell me what you want the voice to make people feel.
A prompt reply, then a recording arranged around your schedule, even when it is urgent.
Session sheet
Adjust the settings: your brief takes shape here as you go.
Your brief opens my “I’m listening” form. You can review it and add your contact details before sending it.
I read your brief carefully: if an acronym needs checking or a name needs a pronunciation, I ask before opening the microphone. We agree the work, usage rights and schedule in a quote. Once it is approved, we arrange the recording.

Three films, three briefs
What you show, what I listen for
For a company film, an animation or a documentary, you already have the first detail I need in mind.

Corporate film
Who is watching, and what they should remember
A company film depends on nuance: enough assurance to convince, enough warmth to make people want to listen.

Motion graphics
Timing comes first
Your timings or animatic give me the duration of each sequence: I match the pace and pauses to the picture, using timecode. If a script is too dense for its allotted time, I tell you before recording.

Documentary
Your edit, and the voice’s place in it
The film sets the pace. Before recording, we look together at where the voice carries the story, where it lets a contributor speak and where it stays silent.

Questions
Before the first take
Do I need to have chosen the voice over tone?
When your direction is clear, I follow it. When you are still finding the tone, I let you hear different approaches, warmer, livelier or more measured: together, we choose what serves your message. The guide to an effective brief explains the information to prepare.
My script is not final: can I brief you already?
Yes: an approximate word count is enough for an initial quote. To hear the tone before deciding, request a free audition on an excerpt.
Can we direct the session remotely?
Yes. With your client or team, you can direct the recording live: Source-Connect, SessionLink Pro or Cleanfeed for the audio, and Google Meet, Zoom or Teams to see each other. We adjust the tone together, take after take.
Several voices, a film series or a very large volume: let us talk directly, contact me.
A commercial, an e-learning course or another speciality? You can also build your brief using the console on my “Working with a voice actor” page.

Let’s talk about your project
