Encounters and inspirations

Apéro Voice, the online gathering for voice actors

Voices we want to talk to

That wish inspired Apéro Voice: an online gathering I host to bring together the people who make the voice over profession come alive. Actors, producers, directors, coaches and enthusiasts, from newcomers to experienced professionals.

We meet as people, with our voices, our faces and a shared wish to connect, without turning it into a showcase or a competition.

On 30 October, at the French Senate, the symposium organised by LesVoix.fr and ATAA will examine generative AI and audiovisual culture: are authors and performers victims of the “great erasure”? I will speak for independent voice over professionals. On 6 November, we will talk about it over a drink.

Gatherings and news from the profession

Leave your first name and email address: I will send you invitations to Apéro Voice and share information about our profession, particularly AI.

Apéro Voice sessions are held in French.

Each gathering follows a relaxed, friendly rhythm in two parts.

  1. A voice to discover

For each edition, I invite a voice professional whose story inspires me: an actor, director, coach or another colleague. Every voice brings a different way of living this profession. We talk about their background, their relationship with voice and their view of our world, with your questions through the chat or microphone.

  2. A drink in small groups

After the conversation, we move into smaller rooms: randomly assigned groups of four, to meet other voices, share some of your story, ask questions or simply see where the conversation takes you.

A few ground rules

A few guidelines help us keep the welcoming atmosphere that makes Apéro Voice special:

  • Respect everyone's speaking time. Egos stay in the waiting room.
  • Listen as much as we speak.
  • Turn on our cameras so we can really see one another.
  • Bring humility, curiosity and something to nibble on.

Excessive drinking is harmful to health. Please drink in moderation.

A voice over career is not built alone. Meeting others enriches our voices, our journeys and our ambitions. Sometimes a simple conversation opens a door we had never imagined.

Each guest has shared their way of living this profession. Several also have a portrait on this website.
